The line "There are two things that last longer than time, love is one of them" was one of DeBeers most successful and was being brought back for Christmas 2009. We needed to show that like a diamond, love is also forever. And without the luxury of a large media plan, we knew we need a non-traditional solution.
We created an integrated experience where couples could kiss under a beautifully lit mistletoe (in the shape of the DeBeers logo) and have their kiss captured by 60 cameras that encircled them. The result was a remarkable 360 degree moving image of their kiss frozen in time, forever. An "Unbreakable kiss" that they could download, send on, or post on their social media.
